Winnie the Pooh hit theaters this earlier this year in the United States and worldwide. Although it was praised by movie critics, tickets sales left a little to be desired. Now the movie that some may have missed in the theaters is coming to DVD, Blu-ray combo pack and movie download on October 25th. You can expect to see special shorts like “The Ballad of Nessie” and “Mini-Adventures of Winnie the Pooh: The Balloon.”
Disney returns to the Hundred Acre Wood with “Winnie the Pooh.” Featuring the timeless charm, wit and whimsy of the original featurettes, this all-new movie reunites audiences with the philosophical “bear of very little brain” and friends Tigger, Rabbit, Piglet, Owl, Kanga, Roo – and last, but certainly not least, Eeyore, who has lost his tail. “Ever have one of those days where you just can’t win, Eeyore?” asks Pooh. Owl sends the whole gang on a wild quest to save Christopher Robin from an imaginary culprit. It turns out to be a very busy day for a bear who simply set out to find some honey. Disney’s all-new “Winnie the Pooh” movie is inspired by three stories from A.A. Milne’s books in Disney’s classic, hand-drawn art.
A short being shown with the new Winnie the Pooh movie features Nessie. Nessie is the mythical Loch Ness monster that has been a source of legends for centuries. Legend says that there is a huge creature that lives in the Loch Ness located in the Scottish Highlands. In Scotland loch is another name for lake.
The Ballad of Nessie will play before the actual movie Winnie the Pooh is played on the movie screen.
