Many people think of Mickey Mouse when they hear about Disney Parks and Resorts. But there is one other top animal over at Disney: Winnie the Pooh. Winnie the Pooh is one of the top characters for the Disney enterprise. Disney parks include a special ride called The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. If you think that name sounds familiar you are not wrong. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh was one of the full-length animated films from Disney. Inspiration for the movie, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, was based on stories from the books: Winnie the Pooh and Honey Tree, Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day, and Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too. The stories from the movie were made into a book of the same name.
Disney’s Magic Kingdom has actually improved the waiting line to get into their Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh ride. The waiting area is designed with figures that make it seem like a walk through the Hundred Acre Wood.
“A Honey of a Tale” will be performed by local Detroit theater group from Wild Swann Theater.

Dip into our honey pot of stories featuring children’s all time favorite bear, Winnie the Pooh. You will love joining Pooh as he hums his way through the Hundred Acre Woods. Whether he’s pretending to be a cloud to trick bees out of their honey, hunting heffalumps with Piglet, or stuck in a doorway at Rabbit’s house, Winnie the Pooh is just about the best friend a child could have. This is story theater at its very best!
The Winnie the Pooh movie is set to be released July 2011. According to filmonic, we will see the gang in the Hundred Acre wood looking for Eeyore’s lost tale. We will also get to see Rabbit’s family. It is based on A.A.Milne’s stories, which is great to hear. No one did Winnie the Pooh better than A.A. Milne, basing the movie more directly on his writings is an excellent move.
