Disney’s Tinker Bell joined the Ad Coucil to help promote energy conservation. Along with the Disney Fairies, Tinker Bell, will be a part of several Public Service Announcements (PSAs) to tell of simple ways that we can all save energy. Scene from Disney’s Tinker Bell and Great Fairy Rescue were used to create the energy conservation PSA. These ads are geared toward children in an effort to make them aware of things that they can do now and in the future to reduce energy consumption.
Tinker Bell will be getting her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Having a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame has been an honor entertainers have enjoyed for years. Usually it is real life individuals, but there have been characters that have had an impact in entertainment that have received their own star. Tinker Bell is not the first character to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She joins Big Bird, Bugs Bunny, Donald Duck, Godzilla, Kermit the Frog, Mickey Mouse, Rugrats, Shrek, The Simpsons, Snow White, Winnie-the-Pooh and Woody Woodpecker.
