Dora the Explorer Entertains in South Africa

If you do not know already, let me tell you that Dora the Explorer is internationally known and entertains children on several continent.   Dora the Explorer is part of the television viewing of children all over Africa, including South Africa.   From December 7th through December 22nd, Dora will be at the Sandton City Checker Court in South Africa.   There will be three different shows daily at 12 pm, 2 pm, and 4 pm daily.    Dora will be joined with Boots, and Diego to entertain children.   For more information you can visit Nickelodeon Africa’s Website.

Dora the Explore Part of Universal Orlando Nightly Parade

When you go to theme parks you expect have lots of fun and experience many different types of entertainment.   Universal Orlando is having their grand opening of the Universal’s Superstar Parade May 8, 2012.   The parade will feature many children favorites including Dora the Explorer and Diego.     Along with these characters there will be several others children favorites like SpongeBob SquarePants, E.B. from Hop, and some minions from Despicable Me.     According the Universal Orlando website, guests will have the opportunity to interact with the parade characters throughout the day.

If, while you are vacationing in Orlando, Florida,  you are looking to spend time with more Nickelodeon characters like Dora the Explorer, Diego, or SpongeBob you may consider staying at the Nickelodeon Suites Resorts in Orlando.  The resort includes character themed rooms, and activities.

Dora the Explorer and Diego Traveling Exhibit in Indiana and California

In February 2011 Dora and Diego-Let’s Explore began its 5 year international tour.   Its first stop was the Children’s Museum in Indianapolis Indiana.   Now the exhibit has returned to that museum and is also visiting the Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana, California.   Both locations will have the exhibits for several months during the first part of this year: January 28th through May 6, 2012.

It is no surprise that these exhibits would be widely popular with families.  The exhibit includes fun and educational opportunities for children to explore.     There are areas for the children to engage in interactive learning and play.  Children can explore the rainforest and swing across monkey bars.    You can play in several different themed areas based on character and locations on the “Dora the Explorer” and “Go! Diego Go!” television programs:  Tico’s Nutty Forest, Isa’s Flowery Gardens, Purple Planet, Rainforest Maze, and The Pirate Piggies’ Ship.

Go,Diego, Go Voice Starts Music Career

Voice behind Go Diego Go’s Diego is now making its way to musical singles. Matt Hunter, who provided the voice of Diego, Dora the Explorer’s animal recuing cousin, from season 4 to season 5 of the show is now making his debut into the music industry. According to an article on Fox, Hunter describes his music as something without a Latin touch. He says that many people will likely compare him to popular male teen musician, Justin Bieber, but his music will have more of Latin touch.

Dora the Explorer and Diego Go Exploring in the Kitchen

Dora the Explorer and Diego want to get kids cooking with a new cook book created for children.  The book,  Dora and Diego Let’s Cook, has  recipes that  are designed for children to make with a grown-up.  There are fun recipes with names of the characters from the show Dora the Explorer and Go, Diego Go!  One such recipe Swiper’s Blueberry Hill Muffin 

 The book includes:

New Dora the Explorer and Diego Museum Exhibit Opens Early 2011

Dora the Explorer and Diego will soon be taking children exploring as part of a travelling museum exhibit tour. Dora and Diego‘s key audience will be preschoolers and their parents.

The exhibit will take children and their families into the worlds of Dora and Diego where they will engage in problem-solving and active play. Young children will play along as they join an adventure and learn how to solve problems, be a good friend, and care for animals and the environment. Spanish vocabulary will be incorporated throughout the exhibit to introduce Spanish-speaking skills to preschool children.

In February 2011, the exhibit will open to museum patrons of The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. After spending some time in Indianapolis the Dora the Explorer and Diego exhibit will go on a 5 year international tour.

Dora & Diego’s 4-D Adventure, along with Happy Feet 4-D, has been added as feature of Nickelodeon Family Suites. Nickelodeon Family Suites has themes based on the children shows from the Nickelodeon family series. Rooms have themes from SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, The Fairy Odd Parents, and other popular Nickelodeon characters. Characters like Dora and Diego greet hotel guests. There are also game shows, a huge pool with tall waterslides.

Dora’s Big Birthday Adventure Among the New Games for Dora the Explorer and Diego

Several new games featuring Dora the Explorer and Diego for Wii™ system, Nintendo DS™ system and the PlayStation® 2 computer entertainment systems are being added to some of the popular games now available. Dora’s Big Birthday Adventure, Dora’s Cooking Club, Go, Diego, Go! Mega Bloks Build & Rescue are three games are three games created with preschoolers in mind.

In Dora’s Cooking Club, the most endearing character in preschool television will take her cooking skills to the Nintendo DS in her first video game incorporating a Pre-K through Kindergarten math curriculum. Gamers will chop, measure, stir and sprinkle in over thirty cooking games to create tasty treats including pizza, enchiladas and yogurt and berry Fruit Fiestas. The game will track the player’s progress and allow parents to check their child’s advancement in curriculum types including numbers, counting, shapes, patterns and measurement.

Dora’s Big Birthday Adventure, based on Dora’s 10th Anniversary special televised event, follows Dora and Boots on their biggest adventure yet as they try to find their way out of Storybook Land to make it to Dora’s big birthday celebration. Nintendo DS players will trace, tap, shout and scribble their way through challenges such as riding a unicorn over the rainbow and floating in a magic bubble across Sea Snake Lake.

Diego fans will be shouting “Al rescate! To the rescue!” as Diego and Baby Jaguar join forces with Mega Bloks for the very first time in a video game in Go,
Diego, Go! Mega Bloks Build & Rescue for Nintendo DS. In this building block adventure, Diego must rescue lost animals and build homes for them in habitats ranging from the savannah to undersea coral reefs. To do so, young gamers must collect Mega Bloks to build construction tools and rescue vehicles including submarines, hang gliders, off-road trucks and snowmobiles.

Dora the Explorer and Diego are bringing some the adventure and edutainment to the Children’s Museum of Manhattan. An exhibit featuring Dora the Explorer and Diego helps children to learn science and problem solving, which really go hand-in-hand. With fun and imagination, kids will learn about animals, and their habitats. This exhibit is geared toward kids ages 2-6.
